Quality Systems
Accreditation
Waterford Uniforms® operate stringent quality control systems and procedures, which are independently accredited to ISO 9001:2008.
Additionally Waterford Uniforms® have in place a Product Monitoring System " Article 11B" a mandatory quality system requirement for manufacturers of Complex III High Risk PPE (i.e. Fire Suits, FR Suits, Arc Suits) as per the European Directive 89/686/EEC for all manufacturers.
Both systems are certified and audited by SGS, (UK).
Independent product testing is carried out with European & International notified Bodies including
STFI (Ger)
IFTH (Fr) and (CN)
BTTG (UK)
Satra (UK)
All Waterford Uniforms® products are CE marked and Certified to EN Standards.
All final product testing is carried out at United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).
Test reports and specifications for products are made available to customers.
Copy of Product Technical Files are provided to all end users of Complex III PPE.
Material & Component Inspection.
Materials are all delivered with Certificates of Conformance.
On receipt Waterford Uniform® selects and sends supplier materials for random independent testing also.
Quality Controls.
Waterford Uniform® staff are fully trained on all aspects of Quality Assurance including preparing specifications, carrying out in line and final quality inspections. 100% Inspection is carried out on all completed Products.
In-House Testing Facilities.
Waterford Uniforms® in-house testing facilities include;
Material tear, tensile & abrasion tests.
Material pilling test.
Material flammability measurement.
Material spray Testing.
Material waterproof and seam testing.
Finished product shower testing.
